we are in this mess because we keep voting for politicians.
We don't need any more politicians.
We need good people;
ordinary people who understand struggle;
who understand how to manage their wages to get to the end of the month;
people who have to stand in line for public services;
people who take the bus;
people who can't afford a holiday;
people who have to mortgage their house to give their kids an education;
people who work 350 days a year on minimum wage;
people with real qualifications in politically relevant areas like economics, management, business, finance, health care;
people with years of priceless experience who can't get a job;
people with small children;
people with elderly parents;
people who are carers;
people who have had to work their way honestly to the top of their professions;
people with morals;
people with honesty;
people with integrity;
people with the respect of the common man;
people who believe that public service is about working in the service
of the public, not people who believe that the people work in the
service of them.
surely there are people like that amongst us............
Call for a revolution in Ireland

A Christmas Message to the Taoiseach, Tanaiste and Minister for Finance
Dear Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion,
2012 has been a tremendous year for you. The Cover of Time magazine, European of the Year, Nobel Prize, UN Council seat...... You must be very satisfied with your achievements.
The truth is the Irish people bought you those accolades with their hard earned wages. By fully supporting the FF bank guarantee you took our money and handed it to the bankers and bondholders who created this entire mess: a tiny circle of gamblers who stole the wealth that the tiger created, and instead of going to jail get paid billions in compensation, by a lapdog government of cowards and parasites.
It's interesting how one word can sum up the truth about the European project, the manipulation (and, in fact, ownership) of governments by Goldman Sachs and Rothschild, the apathy of the Irish people to the treachery of its government and the use of the media to control, suppress and misdirect the truth: ICELAND
You don't agree? So what did you achieve in 2012?
Well this year we discovered that Ireland is a country where a man can freeze to death in the doorway of a supermarket in the Capital city; where a woman can be allowed to die in a hospital because the law insists on it; where families struggle to survive in an atmosphere of despair and parents fear the suicide of their children; where a grocer who fiddles €1 million in excise duty from the government is sent to jail for 6 years, while a judge who steals an old man's life savings gets two and a half years, and a solicitor who steals €52 million from ordinary families gets free legal aid; where the poor and the elderly make daily choices between hunger and hypothermia; where social welfare is a concept and a system that works for immigrant non-nationals more than Irish citizens; where the government is prepared to condemn hundreds of thousands of families to live below the poverty line with taxes and charges that do not get spent on public services but go into the black hole of Troika debt; where politicians who believe they run an entire economy don't understand the first thing about economics or real political power; and where a member of the government can, with no hint of shame, state on national television that politicians lie to get elected.
The priority of every politician in Dail Eireann is Power, Position, Privilege, Pay and Pension........ not People.
If I didn't know better, I'd say we were living in Stalinist Russia.
And the solution the government proposed is more jobs. Not much creative thinking there then..., Jobs, not people and they are happy to use the numbers of employed versus unemployed as a measure of their performance and success.
But there are more real measurements of the state of the country: the number living (and dying) below the poverty line (many of them with jobs); the number of people emigrating in search of a life and a future; and the number of people taking their own lives (many with jobs) because they don't believe they have a future and don't have the possibility of emigrating.
This will be the legacy of Irish governments in the 21st century.
So while I can't see much to celebrate, I am looking forward to The Gathering in 2013. I don't agree with Gabriel Byrne's assessment of the project as an exercise in the shakedown of returning ex-pats. I believe The Gathering is a tremendous opportunity for our young people to hear how honest hard work is rewarded in America, Australia, Canada and elsewhere, where the grass IS actually greener. Congratulations - never has there been a more brilliant marketing strategy for emigration. I will certainly be encouraging my children to find hope, happiness, success, recognition, reward and a better life far from home.
At least you have made an effort to keep the numbers emigrating ahead of the numbers taking their own lives ..... but be assured, in the years to come, both these figures will be your legacy.
Merry Christmas.
p.s. When you're eating your Christmas dinner remember - we paid for it.

So, Ireland...... What Happens Now?
Human beings need 3 things to survive.
Food, (warm) Shelter and Water.
These are basic needs, basic rights.
Even having only two out of the three will eventually result in death.
In 21st Century Ireland most people have at least some access to these.
But many have to choose between them.
Some will eat but live without shelter. Shelter, in and of itself, is worthless if it does not come with a minimum amount of heat.... even with a full belly and a roof over your head you can still freeze to death. Families with young children, and elderly people, living with partners or alone, are in a daily struggle to survive as they make daily choices between food and heat. They are literally juggling with their lives in a struggle to SURVIVE!
Like our grandparents who came through World War II, our cupboards have bread, butter, milk, some tinned food, maybe fresh vegetables and not much more. After the gluttony of the tiger years, our overstretched bellies feel even more empty. Our parents and grandparents must be bewildered at the irony.
We hear of children going to school hungry, practically begging from their classmates for something to eat for lunch. In March 2013, Barack Obama signed into US law a piece of legislation that literally means that federal courts cannot intervene and halt biotech companies from planting and selling GMO goods to the public, even if testing proves them to be potentially hazardous to the greater public. So Monsanto, through its control of agricultural production, will become the monopoly power in the world's food supply chain.
That's food controlled.
Neither do we have rights when it comes to our shelters. We are tenants in our fraudulently financed houses. The fraud is not ours. It is the bankers', who knew exactly what they were doing by engineering the financial takeover of our country. Unable to pay mortgages we will be thrown on the street, while the government will stand by claiming that they are powerless to do anything. In 2013 we are hearing that "repossessions" - actually EVICTIONS! - will become a daily reality for many families across the land. Our homes, our businesses, our farms, even the land upon which we have sovereign rights to natural resources like oil, gas, and even turf ... none of it is ours. It is owned by finance houses, banks, and a State willing to sign off these to foreign interests in return for unknown compensation ... none of which reaches the people.
That's shelter controlled.
What happened to Ireland? We were a colony of an empire less than a hundred years ago, tenants of absentee landlords, subjects of the crown. We took the power back and for almost a century managed to drag ourselves from a third world country destroyed by famine to the heights of modern technology and development. Then in the blink of an eye, in a blind, desperate, thoughtless act of desperation because we realized we actually have no control, we sold the country back to absentee landlords, paying them in periodic installments of billions for the right to stay in our shelters. I would say "handed" back but I believe, and facts do not contradict this, that the Dail has been handsomely rewarded for their treachery.
“Bankers own the earth; take it away from them but leave them with the power to create credit; and, with a flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again... If you want to be slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers control money and control credit.”
- Sir Josiah Stamp, Director, Bank of England, 1940.
“Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws."
- Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild
Are we actually incapable of governing ourselves? Certainly the Irish people seem to have no interest in who governs them, unlike the French, Greeks, Spanish, Italians an Icelanders. I suppose we get what we deserve.
At least water is free.
Oh wait ... didn't Enda Kenny put Phil Hogan in to take care of that little loophole...... ah they think of everything, the parasites.
In the Netherlands, Queen Beatrice - a top table member of the Bilderberg Group - is abdicating her position and will hand the crown to her son, William, who "prince passes his time with ‘global water-management’ for the UN. And even in this apparently innocent day job, the prince can hardly refrain from pushing global governance. It’s in his blood, you might say. In a document prepared by the prince for the Johannesburg Summit, he states:
“The most important area of global governance with a substantial potential impact on the water sector is the system of international trade.”
Dennis O'Brien, (a Bilderberg attendee) who came to prominence when Michael Lowry handed him the license for mobile phone operations in the country, is one of the people vying for the license to instal the household water meters. Now we can pretty easily believe that Michael Lowry didn't sell his signature cheap .... Do we think Phil Hogan, the man with pen-at-the-ready to allocate the water meter license, wouldn't put a handsome price on his own signature??
So pretty soon that will be water controlled.
Food, Shelter, Water.........
We are no longer free to live.
We are not free human beings.
We are controlled beings - with our rights rationed according to an elite class who hold power.
We are not governed by ourselves or even our own government.
So I ask you, Ireland ....... what happens now?
"And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones who start
To mould a new reality
Closer to the Heart"

Who owns the Euro?
I'm an average guy.
I have average intelligence, a passing-but-increasing interest in political and social affairs, and a respect for the truth.
The most important thing for me as a citizen, a father, and a tax-payer is the responsibility I have to really see what's going on around me; to know how the "system" affects me and my children; to speak my mind when there is something that doesn't sit with my own common sense.
I have no personal agenda. I just want what I say to be heard, analysed and responded to. I am totally prepared to be contradicted and corrected - it will only make me smarter.
The current financial turmoil at home and around the world is of great interest to me. This is the 21st century and it would have been reasonable to assume that the lessons we learned as a species over the past 100 years might have taught us enough to expect to be living in a pretty decent world. Instead we seem vehemently determined to ignore any lessons that history has to offer and to repeat the same mistakes which result in war, hunger, poverty, oppression, corruption, waste, suffering and grief.
So with Italy, Spain, Greece, Ireland and Portugal under the spectre of bankruptcy it seemed like a logical question to ask: who owns the Euro?
Simply put, if the problem is a shortage of money, why not print more?
Firstly, what is money? Money did not always exist. Skills, Produce and Services were originally traded - bartered - between farmers, labourers, tradesmen, craftsmen etc. The concept of money originated to fulfill the need for a mutually tradeable unit representing the value of all items and services. So if I have 2 goats that I can trade, but nobody wants goats, I can sell them for a value held in the form of money which I can then use to purchase a good, skill or service as I require.
Money therefore has NO VALUE in itself. It is a promissory note. So why can I not WRITE a promissory note?
Printed money is simply a promissory note in recognisable, standardised form. If I have something to sell, the value of it will rise and fall according to demand for the item or service. But the representation of this value amount in the form of money has nothing to do with the AVAILABILITY of printed money. And yet, the shortage of printed money seems to be causing a global crisis. How can this be?
Because money itself ..... ink on paper ..... has become a commodity, with controlled supply.
Who has control?
Most people think that the State controls the supply of money through the Central Bank. If the government needs money it gets the mint to print more. So why do governments have to borrow money? Who do they borrow from? And to whom do they pay the interest on this borrowed money?
The Central Bank is indeed the supplier of printed money. But the Central Bank is not a State institution. It is not owned or controlled by the State. It alone has the authority to print money (although who authorised this is an important question, as is "why doesn't the State take back this authorisation?").
So if the State doesn't own or control the Central Bank, who does?
As in the US, where most people believe that the "Federal" Reserve is some branch of government, The European Central Bank is not a State, Political or Governmental body. It is a PRIVATE BUSINESS with no ties to Brussels, Berlin or London. Not directly in any case.
As a PRIVATE BUSINESS, it is privately owned and is RUN FOR PROFIT.
If not only Ireland, Portugal or Greece, but Germany, France and any other Eurozone country needs money, it has to BORROW it from this private business. Where does this private business GET its money? It PRINTS IT! When it lends cash (or credit) to a nation in need, it simply PRINTS PAPER or WRITES A NUMBER IN A LEDGER. So it actually CREATES MONEY FROM NOTHING. More than 90% of all "money" doesn't physically exist....it is simply numbers on ledgers and in computer (virtual) files.
In 2008, instead of underwriting the virtual money that doesn't actually exist in the balance sheets of lenders such as Anglo Irish Bank, the Irish State should have walked away from the European Union.
We should have reverted to the PUNT. The value of which would be backed by our own natural resources and the goods we produce. But we had already given away much of this in gas and oil. Not sold it, or leased it ..... GIVEN IT AWAY!
Some people will say, but if we walked out of Europe and defaulted on our sovereign debt, who would trade with us?
As far as I can see, plenty of people would have traded with us. Who buys our goods and services? Companies do ... not governments ... Companies. The sovereign debt is ALL the gambling losses of speculators who do nothing to contribute to the wealth of the country or the people. If I go to Leopardstown, place a bet and lose, can I now go to Leinster House to get my money back?
The banking system is holding this country and most of Europe to ransom - to repay money that never existed, was created out of thin air, is inherently worthless anyway PLUS the interest (or PROFIT) which is the fee for supplying this non existent money.
Explain to me the logic?
The European Project has failed - but IT WAS DESIGNED TO FAIL.
The ingenious privately owned banking system was created not simply as a business to generate profits for its owners, but to engineer a scenario wherein entire countries and peoples would be enslaved by debt ... essentially OWNED!!, by the bankers.
Who owns the Euro? or for that matter the dollar, yen and any other currency?
The private bankers - the owners of the central banks who hold title to entire countries assets and citizens private properties and guarantee this enslavement in perpetuity by financing debt with debt and charging interest upon interest.
With no interest repayment requirement, your taxes would go directly back into the economy and public services instead of back to the private ownership of the money suppliers. How different would the country be in such a scenario?
I do not intend to over-edit these posts, but to publish them as they are..... stream of consciousness monologues offered openly for your consideration, comment, rebuttal and contradiction if only to wake up an apathetic nation.
